More than a game — D2B and NFL FLAG are shaping tomorrow’s leaders, one play at a time.
When you think of youth sports, you probably think of big plays, loud sidelines, and team huddles. But at D2B Athletics, the real wins aren’t found on the scoreboard — they’re found in the quiet moments of growth, leadership, and confidence that happen along the way.
Now partnered with NFL FLAG, D2B Athletics is bringing more than just football to Rocklin. They’re building a program where kids learn how to thrive not only as athletes, but as people.
“We love the game, but our deeper mission is to use football as a tool to teach life,” says Jason Feuerbach, co-founder of D2B Athletics and longtime public educator. “Whether it’s learning how to work as a team, bounce back from a mistake, or communicate under pressure, these moments shape character — and those are the lessons that stick with you forever.”
And it’s not just talk. The D2B program is intentionally designed to support whole-child development. Every coach is trained not only in football fundamentals, but also in positive mentorship, effective communication, and values-based coaching. Each week, athletes are challenged to grow in their skills and their character — from hustle on the field to kindness off of it.
What Life Skills Do Kids Learn in NFL FLAG with D2B Athletics?
-
Resilience: Learning how to handle both success and failure with maturity
-
Leadership: Stepping up to encourage teammates and take initiative
-
Effort: Discovering the power of showing up, trying hard, and never giving up
-
Communication: Practicing how to listen, speak, and collaborate respectfully
-
Teamwork: Understanding that individual success means little without unity
According to co-founder Tiffiny Feuerbach, a former Division I softball player and longtime coach, youth sports are the perfect place to teach these lessons.
“Every practice is an opportunity. Every game is a classroom. These kids are learning how to handle pressure, how to support others, and how to believe in themselves — and they’re having a blast while doing it,” she explains.
As registration opens this July for the Fall 2025 season, D2B Athletics is inviting Rocklin families to experience what sets their program apart: a commitment to growth, character, and belief in every child’s potential.
